A time before Emily

It may sound cheesy, but last weekend Mark and I had our Babymoon. We debated going away, we are so fortunate to be able to spend so much time together, but we have one place we have always loved going to. We found a weekend with no basketball (at this time of the year that doesn't happen often) and went up to The Blue Lantern in Dana Point. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, eating fresh cookies, tea, and hot chocolate. Then there's afternoon 'ordurves with cheese, crackers and wine. I could live off cheese and crackers! It was a wonderful time being alone, relaxing, and dreaming of what next month holds in store. We are so excited and (we think) ready for miss Emily.

We love Dana Point

The harbor from our room

The dinning room

35 Weeks!

The ocean + THE Flag+ Christmas + Growing baby = perfect

To top it all off, we came home to this BEAUTIFUL sunset

  1. So glad you two treasure your time together. A good marriage does not just happen it must be nurtured and worked on. Good for you! Looks like a wonderful time. Next time you escape just the two of you, you will have a little one anxious to greet you upon your return :)

  2. I love this post! The pictures are adorable! And I too could live off of cheese and crackers - even cheese flavored crackers are great :) Seeing these pictures makes me excited to go to Cancun and makes me want to go check out this place in Dana Point! And that picture of the sunset is beautiful. I think sunsets in the winter are so much better than in the summer, probably because of the clouds :)
