A time before Emily

It may sound cheesy, but last weekend Mark and I had our Babymoon. We debated going away, we are so fortunate to be able to spend so much time together, but we have one place we have always loved going to. We found a weekend with no basketball (at this time of the year that doesn't happen often) and went up to The Blue Lantern in Dana Point. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, eating fresh cookies, tea, and hot chocolate. Then there's afternoon 'ordurves with cheese, crackers and wine. I could live off cheese and crackers! It was a wonderful time being alone, relaxing, and dreaming of what next month holds in store. We are so excited and (we think) ready for miss Emily.

Bradley Ladies

These are the ladies from our Bradley Class. they are awesome, smart, strong, educated women. "Pretty awesome," as Rachel our instructor would say. We're almost done with our 10 week (told you we were educated) birthing class. We are all due within 2 months of each other, and I am  so excited for their births and to meet their little ones! Mark and I have loved learning everything under the sun about  natural birth, and making the right decisions for us and our Emily.

33 Weeks and Growing

The weeks are flying by, it’s the 1st of December and all I’m excited about is holding my little girl. Both Grandmas came with me to my 33rd week appointment. It’s so fun to see their excitement, and I am thankful Emily has loving Grandmas. Emily is healthy and active (she was in the 130bpm).  Part of the joy of carrying a baby is feeling all the movement; she’s running out of real estate, and I feel her constantly. I’m trying so hard to remember this feeling, so I never forget it.  After the appointment, Grandma Julie showed us the letters she hand painted; we can’t wait to put them up!

Grandmas who are almost as excited as we are :)
There she is!
Can't wait to put them up!

Life is moving fast; 7 months ago, Mark and I found out we were expecting a sweet baby, and we soon came to find it would be a baby girl. One to have Mark wrapped around his finger, one for me to dress up and one day craft with, a sweet girl who will need us to love and teach her about God's son, Jesus, and how he loves us so. We cannot wait for her to come in January! This gave me the push to start a blog, to-in some small way-capture our time anxiously awaiting her and the months that seem to fly by like days.
